MD ASADUZZAMAN: A Visionary Leader in Professional Boxing

Professional Background:  Md. Asaduzzaman, a proud Bangladeshi citizen, has been a prominent figure in professional boxing since 1991. With a career spanning over 30 years, he has worked as a pro boxing coach and promoter in the Philippines, Italy, China, and the United States. Notably, he served as the Chairman of WBBU (World Boxing Bodies Union) in China, an Associate Member of WBC (World Boxing Council) in Mexico, and GAB (Games and Amusement Board) in the Philippines.

In a groundbreaking move, Asaduzzaman initiated and organized the first-ever professional boxing competition in Bangladesh at BKSP Boxing Gymnasium, Savar, Dhaka, on November 20, 2020. This historic event marked the beginning of a new era for professional boxing in the country. Subsequently, on February 26, 2021, he organized the first international professional boxing event at the same venue, featuring pro boxers from India.

As the driving force, Asaduzzaman established the Bangladesh Professional Boxing Society (BPBS), the first-ever boxing-sanctioned body in Bangladesh, gaining international recognition. Recently elected as the General Secretary of the Universal Boxing Council (UBC) in Colombia and a member of the World Boxing Association (WBA) in Panama, Asaduzzaman continues to elevate Bangladesh’s presence in the global boxing community.

  4. General Secretary of Bangladesh Professional Boxing Association (BPBA): Playing a key role in shaping the boxing landscape.
  5. Director of AF Boxing GYM and Promotion: Leading efforts in training, mentoring, and promoting boxing.
  6. Owner of Bangladesh Boxing Television: Fostering the growth and visibility of boxing in Bangladesh.
  7. Certified Professional Boxing Trainer, Mentor, and Promoter: Recognized by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB).

Philosophy and Vision:   MD Asaduzzaman believes that professional boxing is not merely a sport but a business-oriented means of income. He envisions a future where Bangladesh, with the full support of the government, can activate its economic wheels through the Bangladesh Professional Boxing Society. With many talented young boxers in the country, he aims to nurture them to become world champions within the next two to three years, putting Bangladesh on the map of world boxing.

Bangladesh Professional Boxing Association (BPBA): As President of BPBA, Asaduzzaman plays a pivotal role in shaping the national professional boxing landscape. The association, under his guidance, is committed to fostering a supportive environment for boxers, organizing national competitions, and promoting the growth of the sport within Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Professional Boxing Society (BPBS):
   BPBS, under Asaduzzaman’s leadership, is dedicated to creating a safe, fair, and equitable environment for professional boxers in Bangladesh. The organization has implemented various programs and initiatives, including a formalized ranking system, a professional boxing league, and comprehensive support programs for boxers. BPBS aims to provide educational opportunities for boxers and promote the sport at both the national and international levels.
